Preston Reid

  • Preston Reid is a Managing Director in the Hospitality Investment Advisory practice at Hodges Ward Elliott. He specializes in institutional-grade hotel and resort property transactions in the Southeast, including investment advisory, debt, and equity placements.
  • Preston has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate and investment banking. Throughout his career, he has completed over $6 billion of commercial real estate transactions.
  • Preston graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in finance where he also worked for the Athletic Association tutoring athletes in Business Finance and Managerial Accounting. He is a founding member and past president of Tampa’s Society of Real Estate Professionals. Preston has also been named a Power Broker by CoStar.

Rudy Reudelhuber

  • Rudy Reudelhuber is a Managing Director at Hodges Ward Elliott.  He specializes in institutional-grade hotel and resort property transactions in Florida and throughout North America and Europe including investment advisory, debt, and equity placements. He was instrumental in the establishment of our London office in 2004 and overseas HWE’s international capital market activities.
  • Mr. Reudelhuber joined the firm in November 1998.  Prior to this, Mr. Reudelhuber worked for two years in Hong Kong at TCW and two years in New York at SG Warburg and Swiss Bank, now part of UBS.
  • Mr. Reudelhuber has been a speaker at industry events, including the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), The Lodging Conference, and Hotel Investment Conference Europe (Hot.E).  He earned a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Princeton University and spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar. He serves his community on the board of the Ecclesial Schools Initiative and as an ordained deacon of the Orthodox Church in America.

Cyrus Vazifdar

  • Cyrus Vazifdar is a Managing Director in the Hospitality Investment Advisory practice at Hodges Ward Elliott. He specializes in institutional-grade hotel and resort property transactions throughout North America, including investment advisory and equity placements.
  • Mr. Vazifdar joined the firm in June 2019. Prior to HWE, he spent 9 years at HFF, and was instrumental in the establishment and growth of their offices in Miami and Washington, DC. Prior to this, Mr. Vazifdar worked for three years at Canyon Equity, an owner and developer of ultra-luxury resorts and branded residential.
  • Mr. Vazifdar earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University, and a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University.

Chris Martin

  • Chris Martin is a Senior Director of HVS Hodges Ward Elliott, and has almost 20 years of specialist hotel brokerage experience gained in Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region. He joined the firm in 2009 from Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, with whom he spent almost ten years in Asia and Europe, specializing in hotel brokerage. As well as negotiating the sale of numerous major hotels, including several portfolio disposals, Chris also has extensive experience in hotel operator selections, lease and management agreement negotiations and the sale of hotel development projects.

Jeff Berkman

  • Jeff Berkman is a Director in the Hospitality Investment Advisory practice at Hodges Ward Elliott.  He specializes in institutional-grade hotel and resort property transactions throughout the country. In the past 13 years, Jeff has been involved in more than $30 billion in hotel transactions including the recent sales of 1 Hotel South Beach, PGA National Resort and the Four Seasons Las Colinas.
  • Jeff joined the firm in 2007. Prior to HWE, he was a senior underwriter for the capital markets group at CWCapital. In two years at CW, Jeff was lead underwriter on over $500 million in fixed and floating rate loans. Before starting with CWCapital, Jeff was an underwriter at Mortgageramp, a division of GMAC Commercial Mortgage. In three years at Mortgageramp, he underwrote several hundred million dollars’ worth of fixed-rate conduit loans on behalf of GMAC, Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, and others.

  • Jeff is a graduate of Tulane University.

Carolina Bernal

  • Carolina Bernal is a Director in the Hospitality Investment Advisory practice at Hodges Ward Elliott.  She specializes in institutional-grade hotel and resort property transactions throughout North America and Latin America, including investment advisory and equity placements.
  • Ms. Bernal joined the firm in July 2019.  Prior to HWE, she spent over two years at HFF in New York where she was the lead senior analyst on 19 transactions totaling over $1.6 billion and underwrote over $13 billion worth of asset and portfolio transactions for full service, resort and select service hotels.  Prior to this, Ms. Bernal worked for three years at Xenia Hotels & Resorts in Orlando as member of the investment and finance teams.
  • Ms. Bernal has been a member of Young Hospitality Investment Professionals since 2015. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from University of Central Florida.

Scott Harrell

  • Scott Harrell is a Director in the Hospitality Investment Advisory practice at Hodges Ward Elliott.  He specializes in institutional-grade hotel and resort property transactions throughout the U.S. Since joining the firm in May 2016, he has been involved in more than $2 billion of total investment sales.

  • Prior to HWE, Mr. Harrell spent more than six years on the acquisitions team at TPG Hotels & Resorts, sourcing, underwriting and closing hotel transactions collectively valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars.  Prior to this, he worked for three years at CWCapital as a senior underwriter for the company’s CMBS conduit financing platform.

  • Mr. Harrell graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance and Marketing.

Wyatt Krapf

Wyatt Krapf is a Senior Vice President with Hodges Ward Elliott in Tampa, FL focused on hotel capital markets and investment sale transactions throughout North America.

 

Mr. Krapf joined the firm in January 2023. Prior to HWE, he spent six years with HFF followed by three years with Berkadia in Tampa, having successfully closed over $4.0 billion of debt/equity placement and investment sale transactions since 2014.

 

Mr. Krapf was named to the Central Florida Business Observer’s “40 Under 40” in 2023, the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2022, and he also received the Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award through the Tampa Bay Chamber in 2022. Wyatt regularly speaks on industry panels including CREF-C, the Crittenden Conference and Tampa’s Westshore Development Forum.

 

Wyatt also holds several volunteer leadership positions including 2023 President of the Society of Real Estate Professionals (SOREP), 2020-22 Chair of Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay through the Tampa Bay Chamber and he is a founding Board Member of the nonprofit Tampa Foundation.

 

Mr. Krapf earned M.S. and B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Miami.

Tom McHugh

  • Tom McHugh is a Senior Vice President in the Hospitality Investment Advisory practice at Hodges Ward Elliott. Tom specializes in institutional-grade hotel and resort transactions throughout North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean, including investment advisory, debt, and equity placements.

  • Tom joined Hodges Ward Elliott in May 2021. Prior to HWE, he spent more than five years in real estate brokerage, most recently at a privately held national investment advisory firm specializing in the hospitality industry. Before transitioning into real estate investment banking, Tom worked in hospitality management at world-renowned properties for over five years in four different countries.

  • Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration and completed a post-graduate Corporate Management Training Program with Kerzner International, a leading global developer and operator of destination resorts and ultra-luxury hotels.

Zach Moore

  • Zach joined Hodges Ward Elliott in 2018. He serves as Senior Vice President, facilitating dispositions, financing assignments, valuations, and other engagements. He has spent almost a decade in business development and high-level sales. In 2014, Zach strategically transitioned his business acumen and sales experience to the lodging industry. Since then, he has been involved in the execution of over $100 million in transaction volume. With a focus on Select-service hotels and portfolios, Zach has transacted in almost every region of the United States. In 2019, Zach married his amazing wife Anna Molteni of Nashville, Tennessee where they now reside and make their home.
  • Zach is a graduate of Auburn University with studies in Finance.
